how can i change my shiny white furniture to a rustic brown??

i really want to redecorate my room, and buy rustic brown furniture, but i don’t have any money too. so i wondering if there is ANY way i can change my white shiny furniture to make it more rough looking & a darkish brown??? if i got somebody to do it for me, would it be a hard job & costly?? i need a dresser, bookcase, night stand, bed frame & desk changed

If the furniture is formica you’ll need to prime it with a special primer. There are actually primers made for formica. Just have it tinted to approx. the end result color.
My local paint store carries a paint line that is metallic paint. I can’t for the life of me remember the name of it though. I would suggest going to an actual paint store, not home depot or lowes, and checking with what they have. The paint I’m talking about is interior/exterior so it holds up extremely well.
It comes in all kinds of colors; nickel, copper, bronze, etc. I believe something in an oil rubbed bronze would be kind of what you’re looking for.
If you want wood look you’ll need to google faux finish paint and follow the instructions there.
The good news is that if you screw up something you just paint over it and start again.
