Living Room Theme: Rustic Cabin or Country Western?

I really need to decorate my oh so boring living room, I just am not sure what theme to go with or how to start. I am thinking I want to do country western or cabin rustic. What would be easier and less expensive and where should I start?? What color paints would go with each theme? Thanks in advance.
